In dem Fall laut Videobeschreibung, wie so oft, am Rande einer Demo gegen einen Neonazi-Aufmarsch am 12.12.2015.
Angesichts der Nachricht von heute, dass 2015 über 3.500 rechtsmotivierte Delikte festgestellt wurden (taz), mehr als bezeichnend. Der Feind steht offenbar immer noch vor allem links und die freie Presse gehört für manche Polizisten mittlerweile wohl dazu.
Das Video stammt von Johannes Grunert. Ich embedde es hier mal nicht direkt. Keine Ahnung, was mit „Dieses Video ist urheberrechtlich geschützt. Anfragen an johannes.grunert ät mailbox.org“ genau gemeint ist, aber es klingt doof und bei Journalisten weiß man auch nie so recht, also gibt’s bloß einen schnöden Link zur Quelle.

Bewegende Erinnerung an eine Kindheit in Ruanda, die durch den Konflikt zwischen Hutu und Tutsi ein jähes Ende findet, Flucht, aber der Krieg kommt immer mit, Auffanglager, das Gefühl der Verlorenheit, eine zerrissene Familie. Wegen solcher Texte begebe ich mich immer wieder auf die Suche nach Longreads. Außerdem will ich jetzt gern was von W. G. Sebald lesen, der für die Autorin eine wichtige Rolle spielt, aber dank der Unfähigkeit deutscher Verlage müsste ich dafür auf die englische Übersetzung zurückgreifen, weil’s nämlich nur die als E-Books gibt.

The Riflemaker Dreams of Africa ist einfach ’ne tolle Story. Als solche behandelt sie ein mir zutiefst fremdes Thema, nämlich die Faszination von Waffen und der Jagd, aber so, dass ich es nachvollziehen kann.
The City Where the Sirens Never Sleep ist von 2008, aber fast jeden Satz will man zitieren, weil er zitierfähig ist. Detroit ist so unfassbar kaputt, ich beobachte das gespannt.
Am 13. Juni 1995 ist „Jagged Little Pill“ von Alanis Morissette erschienen, übrigens nicht ihr Debut. Sie hatte vorher schon zwei andere Alben veröffentlicht, die heute aber kein Mensch mehr kennt. Jagged Little Pill ist ein sehr wichtiges Album, nicht nur für mich. Jagged Little Pill at 20: A Roundtable erklärt genauer, warum das Album so besonders ist; Alanis in Chains erzählt die spannende Geschichte, wie aus Alanis, dem kanadischen Popsternchen aus der Retorte, Alanis Morissette, Stimme einer Generation, werden konnte.

GamerGate stinkt, aber manchmal vergisst man das Positive angesichts solcher Scheißigkeit. The Legendary Adventures of a Fearless Girl Gamer betrachtet die Sache letztlich genauso, aber aus einer etwas anderen Perspektive.
