So cool kann Tanzen sein

Ich bin kein großer Fan des Tanzens. Aber hin und wieder, in der richtigen Verfasstheit, zur richtigen Musik und mit den richtigen Menschen, hab ich kindliche Freude dran. Dann ist es ganz toll.

Ich tanze allerdings nicht ansatzweise so gut, wie die Menschen in diesem Video. Vergleichbar ist lediglich das Vergnügen daran. Das kommt deutlich rüber und hat mir heute den Tag sehr versüßt. Daher teile ich das Gute-Laune-Video jetzt einfach hier mit euch. Dankt mir später.

Neurales Netz rekonstruiert Blade Runner

Jemand hat einem Neuralen Netzwerk beigebracht, den Filmklassiker Blade Runner, nach dem Roman von Philip K. dick, zu gucken und dann irgendwie neu zu interpretieren. Wer sich für die Hintergründe interessiert, lese diesen langen Artikel, der alles erklärt: Autoencoding Blade Runner.

Das finde ich allein schon ziemlich interessant. Maschinenlernen und so. Aber das Lustigste: Warner, die die Rechte an Blade Runner besitzen, haben versucht, das Video von Vimeo entfernen lassen, weil sie die Rekonstruktion für echt gehalten haben. Oder, in anderen, besseren Worten:

„Warner had just DMCA’d an artificial reconstruction of a film about artificial intelligence being indistinguishable from humans, because it couldn’t distinguish between the simulation and the real thing.“

Scheint nicht geklappt zu haben, das Video ist soweit ich das sehe noch da.

Ist aber auch eine weitere, schwierige Frage, wenn es um Copyright und so geht: Wer hat die Rechte an dem Video? Können Neurale Netzwerke neue Werke schöpfen? Usw.

Chemie für Zuhause: Die Pharaoschlange

Eure Dosis Weirdness zum Freitag:

Wahrscheinlich kennt jeder schon „Pharaoschlangen“ bzw. Quecksilber(II)-thiocyanat. Ich kannte die Substanz bisher aber nicht und was passiert, wenn man Quecksilber(II)-thiocyanat anzündet, finde ich schon ziemlich cool. Jetzt will ich das sofort selbst machen.

Aber Vorsicht: Dabei entstehen wohl giftigeDämpfe. Wobei im Video soweit ich das sehe, kein Quecksilber im Spiel ist, sondern nur Sand, Feuerzeugbenzin, Backnatron und Zucker. Das sind ja alles leicht zu besorgende Sachen.

Was machen Katzen eigentlich den ganzen Tag, außer schlafen? Diese Katze sitzt, nein fläzt, auf der Couch und beobachtet dabei gelangweilt die Bewegung des eigenen Schwanzes. Hin und her, hin und her. Die perfekte Beschreibung eines bestimmten Zustands der Lustlosigkeit und Lethargie.

Gibt’s das Video auch außerhalb von Facebook? Ich hab nix gefunden. Wer was weiß: Ich tausch das gern gegen Youtube aus. Da stammt es doch wahrscheinlich sowieso her.

ti_leos Links der Woche (KW 45)

Hallo @all. Links der Woche. Prokrastination, weil NaNoWriMo ist. Da versag‘ ich grad ziemlich komplett. Sollte 13.333 Worte haben. Bin bei 6.252. Letztes Jahr bin ich zumindest über 30.000 gekommen. War eine sehr positive Erfahrung. Ich habe den NaNoWriMo jahrelang beobachtet, aber für Quatsch befunden. Aber das war Quatsch. Das Ziel, in einem Monat (November, deshalb auch NationalNovemberWritingMonth, NaNoWriMo) 50.000 Worte, eine Novel, zu schreiben, motiviert ungemein und kanalisiert. Hab ich letztes Jahr ausprobiert. War richtig gut, auch wenn am Ende nix Zusammenhängendes bei rum kam.

Wenn ihr mich motivieren wollt, werdet ihr meine Writing-Buddies. Davon hab ich nämlich nur eine Hand voll und die tun sich insgesamt dieses Jahr auch schwer.

Außerdem möchte ich euch einen Song empfehlen. Leb so, daß es alle wissen wollen von den fabelhaften Keine Zähne im Maul aber La Paloma pfeifen. Irgendwann muss ich mal eine Playlist mit all den tollen deutschen Bands, die ich so kenne, anlegen. Während wir Kino und Film einfach gar nicht können, sind hierzulande so viele tolle Bands unterwegs, die ungefähr keine Sau kennt, während Unheilig oder Uraltsongs von den Ärzten mit zweifelhafter Message, die Charts stürmen. Das sollte sich ändern, jedenfalls sollte ich mal versuchen, häufiger über gute Musik zu schreiben. Bzw. sie euch einfach vorsetzen, über Musik schreiben ist nämlich voll schwierig. Hört also und erspart euch eine Erklärung!

Zwei gute Spiele, für lau: Birdland und Grave. Ersteres erzählt eine sehr weirde Sommerlager-Geschichte. Lynchesk, lesenswert. „BIRDLAND was written by Brendan Patrick Hennessy and illustrated by Izzy Marbella. It was made for the 2015 Interactive Fiction Competition and created in Twine, an open-source tool for telling interactive, non-linear stories.“ Für mich sind Twine-Spiele ja vollwertige Spiele, die alles haben, was ein Spiel braucht. Mit einer ganz alten Historie, die von Text-Adventures über Hentai-Games bis Twine reicht.

Grave ist ein 2D-Endlos-Slasher. Highscore ist alles. 71 gilt es zu schlagen. Das ist locker schaffbar. Auf Challenges lass ich mich ziemlich sicher ein. Screenshots als Beweis!
